The burr puzzle is of mysterious origin, first seen engraved on the cover of Chambers's Cyclopaedia. A captivating three-dimensional creation crafted from interlocking notched sticks. Named with reference to the finished shape resembling a burr seed, DAR Proyectos' version of the puzzle is handmade in semi-precious onyx. The 6 piece star shaped puzzle forms a complex and striking object when not in use, puzzling any guest sitting around the your coffee table.

Each piece is carved from banded onyx, a striking quartz-based mineral, which features striated patterns ranging from white to cafe in tone - no two stones are exactly alike. The stone is a metamorphic stone from the Arequipan Andes of Perú. This protective stone is associated with a grounding energy, dispelling negative energy and offering motivation and preserverance.
