Our Social Impact Strategy
D.A.R. Proyectos, Desarollo Artesanos Responsables, is a sustainable living brand whose objective is to act as a bridge between artisanal communities and the design market. In our communities of Pacasmayo, Peru we integrate design, empowerment and social innovation over the long term.
Theory Of Change
Our theory of change lies in the belief that by teaching communities how to be enterpreneurs, we not only improve their livelihoods but better the communities in genereal.
Capacity Building
The qualitative and quantitative drivers of that change are capacity building endeavors that are multifaceted, and integrated. Our capacity building has resulted in enhancing the cultural preservation of unique Pacasmayo artisan techniques in weaving iconography and stone carving.

Encouraging the skills of craftsmen by using their traditional techniques to manufacture contemporary objects, we help preserve the intangible cultural heritage of the Andes of Peru. Globalization and mass production challenges the survival of the Andean magic! We align with the UNESCO intangible cultural preservation goals to promote local Andean culture through great design.
